The Connection offers several fun activities

The Connection is a resource underused by many students. Some don't know where The Connection is, others haven't given it a try. It is located on the south end of the first floor of the UMC. The convenience and variety of the activities make The Connection a perfect place for students looking for a place to chill other than the hill.

The UMC hangout has plenty of fun things to do. The Connection features billiards, arcade games and free Wi-Fi. However, the most popular attraction is the bowling. The ten lanes and bowling equipment received a complete makeover in November.

"We have ten lanes, and they're all competition certified, regulation length and width. And new pins, new balls, ball returns, fancy new lighting," said Dana Kusjanovic, the games area manager of The Connection.

The Connection provides a space for students, especially those who live on campus, to socialize. Kusjanovic said, "I don't want to sound old, but this really is more fun than going to some house party... so, come down and have a great time here."

Kusjanovic is excited about the The Connection's increase in popularity since the new lanes opened in December. She said, "We always see an increase during the winter, but even more so this year because of the upgrades."

CU senior Erin Jones has taken full advantage, "I love The Connection. Me and my roommate, we come here all the time in between our classes, and buy a couple of rounds of bowling and don't study. We just come here and have fun. It's a good time."
