Rent the Runway is the perfect website for numerous events including weddings, birthdays and important dinners.

University of Colorado senior Erica Friedman recently rented a dress for her sorority formal, "I absolutely love it. It's Nichole Miller and you can rent two sizes for free which is great. And just for a back up size which is a really good idea. This is probably my fourth rental so obviously it worked really well for me, so I'm continually renting for any type of formal event I have."

Renttherunway.com is a great site for those with an eye for style but not much money to spend. Susannah Howard is a Rent the Runway college representative, she explained more about the company,"You can choose from over 120 designers and you can rent the dressed from ninety percent off the retail price. And they send it to you in two sizes, and you get it for four nights. Then you return it back and they dry clean it for you. It's really easy." The designers range from Alice & Olivia to Missoni. Last week Howard rented a dress with a retail price around $1200, but she only paid $100.

Accessories are available to rent as well. To rent your merchandise all you have to do is visit the website, enter the date of your next event, your size and the zip code where you want the dress shipped. A five-dollar insurance fee is included in case of any rips or stains.

After recently hearing about the website, CU senior Tara Meyer thinks this will be the solution to looking great on her graduation day,"I'm really excited to use Rent the Runway for graduation because you get the opportunity to wear a dress you normally wouldn't be able to buy."

The website was co-founded by Harvard Business School undergraduates Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Fleiss. According to the women, the website was created for,"Women who know and love high fashion, who want to look glamorous for all their nights out and experiment with new brands without the anxiety of investing piece after piece."
