Get ready to ski
Cold weather, combined with early snowfall allowed Colorado ski resorts to open early this 2009-2010 season.
Crosswalk safety concerns raised on campus
After recent crosswalk accidents over the past few months, walking across the street has taken on an entirely different meaning.
Crosswalk safety tips
Be alert when crossing the street. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, a pedestrian is killed or injured in a traffic accident every seven minutes.
To keep yourself and your loved ones safe on the roads and crosswalks, follow these guidelines:
•Before crossing, stop at the curb before going
•Look left-right-left and then begin crossing
•Continue to check for traffic as you cross
•Wait for the WALK signal
•If you see a DON’T WALK signal, wait until the next WALK signal
•Be careful to watch for left-turning vehicles if you have a WALK signal
•Make eye contact with drivers to make sure they see you

Professor moves back to the dorms
Professor Scot Douglass, director of the engineering honors program, doesn’t
have to go very far to teach. In fact, he is the first ever live-in faculty member
on the CU campus, setting up residency in the newly renovated Andrews Hall
alongside his students.
CU's newest building: C4C
The Center for Community, which broke ground in May, has had some students guessing on what the building is going to be used for.
