Admitted students to visit CU
The third annual Admitted Student Day at CU will offer a chance to come experience all that the university has to offer this Saturday.
This year, for the first time, participants will have the opportunity to confirm their intent to enroll before leaving campus.
The University expects more than 44,000 students and their parents to attend the daylong event.
CU's Director of Admissions, Kevin MacLennan said, "This program provides students and their families the chance to explore the academic opportunities at our world-class institution as well as connect with faculty and staff."
It's important to note that while tuition concerns are on the forefront of many students minds, CU averages over $8,000 dollars in need-based scholarships and grants annually.
° In-state tuition and fees: $8,511 (2010-11)
° Out-of-state tuition and fees: $28,193 (2010-11)
° Room & board: $10,792 (2010-11)
° Avg need-based award: $8,125 (2010-11)
Campus tours will be offered of the residence halls and selected buildings. "Providing students with the best information possible, is vital," said MacLennan.
