Boulder Valley Humane Society holds onto first place in the "Save More Lives Challenge"
Fifty shelters from around the United States are competing in the Save More Lives $100K Challenge. Boulder's Humane Society currently holds first place in the competition with close to 1,800 lives saved between August 1st and late October. The Boulder Valley shelter has exceeded their goal of saving 1,000 lives and has increased their adoption rate by 700 animals this year compared to 2009. The challenge ends October 31st.
