CU French class learns through singing
Students in French 3020 "Phonetics Through Music" are putting their pronunciation to the test by performing a full-length French musical.
The musical they are working on is the "Roi Soleil" which tells the story of the Sun King Louis XIV in 17th century France.
"This class is phenomenal...I thought I was going to be in a classroom everyday and we were going to sing a bunch of random French songs, and learn how to pronounce...but it's a play," said Bretton Sheller, French student.
Class is held in the Black Box Theater which is the same stage where the students will give their final performance.
The final performance will be held in the Black Box Theater December 4-6 and admission is free.
