CU's Recycling Center upgrade

CU's new dual stream recycling makes it easier to go green.

The new dual system at the CU Recycling Center has two streams. One accepts all paper products and the other accepts all commingled containers.

"There is the ability to capture more material at every location. So we're hoping this expands volume," said Dan Baril, program manager for the recycling center.

"We do have an ultimate goal in the end, and we're trying to lead towards a zero-waste campus," said Baril.

The CU Recycling Center was started over 30 years ago by CU students.
