Google offers map for bike trails

Google has come out with a new tool for avid bikers, allowing them to look up dedicated bike trails on Google Maps. Biking directions was the most requested addition for Google, and now this new feature covers 150 cities in the U.S. — with more on the way in the future. It identifies dedicated bike trails, shows which streets have bike lanes and which are without, and also shows where biking is banned. Additionally, there is a function that shows what the traffic is like in the area you are looking to bike.

Google is eager for feedback about the accuracy their addition to Google Maps and suggest anyone who tries it to leave feedback by clicking on “Report a problem” at the bottom of the map.
