This week, CU is participating in the 11th annual International Education Week, an event that started under the Clinton administration and now spans 100 countries around the globe.

The CU Office of International Education is hosting an open house to celebrate the week and to show off their new office at the Center for Community. They will hand out their Global Citizens and Champions of International Education awards, as well as honoring the winners of their annual photo contest. The open house will start at 4:30 this afternoon in the J.D. Abrams Student Cultural Center on the third floor of the Center for Community.

International Education Week is a joint initiative between the Department of State and the Department of Education. Hillary Clinton released a promotional video for the event. “I have always believed that diplomacy does not just happen between government officials,” she said. “For hundreds of thousands of students each year, exchanges promote mutual understanding and bring people of different nations together to share ideas and compare values. “
