Winter season brings chance of snow days

As the winter season approaches, so do the chances of a big snow storm. In the event of a campus closure due to snow, there are specific procedures set in place to notify students.

After the Chancellor has made the decision to close campus, those who have signed up for the emergency alerts text messaging service will receive a text notifying them of the closure. For those that are not set up with this service, University Communications will alert the local media including both television news stations and radio stations.

Boulder has not experienced a big snow storm so far this semester, but students are already planing what they would do in the event of the rare college snow day. Junior Christina Onpeng said, "I would go sledding! And sleep in."
