New head coach shares outlook and goals

On Monday, Mike Bohn announced that Linda Lappe, former coach of the Metro State Roadrunners, will be given the new head coach position for the CU Women’s basketball team.

She will replace Kathy McConnell-Miller, who was not retained after coaching the last five seasons.

Lappe, a former CU buff herself, played on the basketball team from 1998-2003, helping the team to three NCAA appearances.

She has agreed to a five-year contract today and will start looking for new recruits for next season right away.
